This is a signed and numbered giclee print from an original acrylic painting by Larry Eifert. The artist warrants that there will not be more than 350 individual signed printed in the size and paper stated.
Mountain Meadows are harsh:  Winter storms with hurricane-force winds.  Blowing ice and snow sandblast rock and wood into grotesque shapes.  What little soil that develops through countless decades collects in shallow pockets around rocks.
Mountain meadows are also gentle:  These two delicate mountain chickadees are birds that spend there lives here.  The little dainty moss gardens grow beautiful clusters of orchids, lilies and shooting stars.  Ferns spill from crevasse cracks and overhang miniature meadows as these mountain birds carry on courtship and parental duties.
Mountain Meadows are places of incomparable beauty, but are not easily visited, even during their brief snow-free season.  I just love to sit in them, soak them up and study their details.
