Backyard
Less than 25 air miles away from us, this alpine lake fills the bottom of small high-country basin. The best part of getting here is the first few miles, which is all downhill. The worst part, is getting BACK up that hill to the highest trailhead in the state of Washington.
Moose Lake? There never were any moose here, as far as I know. Maybe Elk Lake, or Deer Lake, or Reflection Lake - but then there's lots of those. Either way, it's a painting of our backyard.
