This is a signed and numbered giclee print from an original acrylic painting by Larry Eifert. The artist warrants that there will not be more than 350 individual signed printed in the size and paper stated.
Someone asked me about local ranch buildings that might be filmed for a Mid-western dairy ad. Forget it, I said. Barns with this roof pitch would collapse in the first blizzard; open-ended equipment sheds would fill with snow; buildings without stone foundations would heave in the cold. While our northwestern barns might be out of place in Wisconsin, I dearly love to paint them and wouldn't change a thing.
After painting literally hundreds of them, I don't necessarily need the genuine article in front of me to do an accurate rendition. I just need to decide on a few specifics like: where is the milk shed, when was it built, which way is the prevailing wind and how many additions have been added through the years? I can pretty much get it with that information.
