The Stream
This little stream meanders through Muir Woods National Monument. Charged with painting nine murals like this for the Monument, I enjoyed this one especially because it's like an image I first painted for Redwood National Park, 300 miles to the north. That one was my first major park mural, and the experience changed my life. A park-guy named Bob Belous, commissioned me to paint that one, an underwater scene on Mill Creek, and is today still an exhibit at the Hiouchi Visitor Center. I owe much to that event, for without it I wouldn't have painted THIS image, or all the other park images either.
To me, it shows how one person can actually have an effect and change another's life.
