Kenai River Alaska
The river had it all, vast scenery, wonderful wildlife and even good restaurants near at hand. Seriouly, it was NOT the restaurants here that interested us, but the fact that on a good day we could see moose, caribou, eagles, swams, brown bears and maybe even a wolf. We were here to paint the river and its fish, but everything else that lives beside this great river made it a smorgasboard of giant helpings.
The painting was created to help people understand that the river isn't just record-book salmon, but a complete ecosystem. And WHAT an ecosystem.
