Red Rock
That's all we call it here. We have a long history with this beautiful piece of desert. When I first began painting here, Las Vegas was miles down the slope, and as we drove out Charlston to the west of town you'd get to smaller houses, fewer sidwalks until you left the city behind. Today, Las Vegas butts against Red Rock, shoulder to shoulder, and there's a new giant casino called, you guessed it, RED ROCK, within sight of the park's entrance.
Still, this desert place is peaceful and full of places to explore. And thanks to the boundry lines, Las Vegas won't come any farther west!
