" Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend. Sea Witch is usually there, and it always seems she's one of the most photographed boats. it's a setup job, using dalhias from Nancy's garden.
This painting was done when the fine old docks at Point Hudson Marina were still authentic wooden docks from WW2- and really worth painting (although they were probably really built in the 1960's). The Port has now rebuilt all this, and in their haste to make yet more money, they distroyed a place many of us went to photograph or paint. May they rot in their concrete and steel Hell."
