Great Smoky Mtns National Park
Leaves, leaves, leaves. That's my overall painterly impression of this great place. You could wander into these forests and never find your way out, so dense is the understory. It takes time to paint this stuff right, but it's rewarding beyond measure to understand the details of a complex place such as this.
